Welcome to a new year! Are you ready for 2026? Let’s Go!
There is a quiet pressure many of us carry that we rarely name out loud. The pressure to wait until everything makes sense before we move. To have clarity before obedience. To feel certain before we step.
I have learned that this pressure does not come from faith. It comes from fear dressed up as wisdom.
Some of the most important steps in my life were taken without full understanding. Not recklessly. Not carelessly. But faithfully. I knew enough to move, even if I did not know enough to explain where it would all lead.
God has never asked me to see the whole road. He has asked me to trust Him with the next step.
There have been seasons when I wanted certainty more than obedience. Seasons when I delayed movement because I wanted assurance that the outcome would be safe, affirmed, and successful. Looking back, I can see how often God was inviting me forward while I was waiting for answers He never promised to give in advance.
Remember this truth: ‘Formation happens on the road, not before it.’
We tend to believe that once we are fully ready, fully healed, or fully confident, then we can move. But readiness often comes through movement. Confidence grows through obedience. Healing unfolds as we walk, not as we wait.
That does not mean we rush ahead without prayer or wisdom. It means we stop using uncertainty as an excuse to remain still. God is faithful to meet us in motion. He shapes us as we go.
If you find yourself standing at the edge of something you sense God is inviting you into, but you do not yet have all the details, you are not alone. That is often the exact place where trust is formed.
I am learning again that faith is not about having everything figured out. It is about walking forward with God, one step at a time, trusting that He is already present on the road ahead.
And that is enough.
